How does Workspace approach the “design and build” process and what does this mean for my business?

Workspace provides a seamless ‘turn key solution’, meaning our service is end-to-end from consultation and initial conceptual designs through to build, implementation, furniture procurement and installation. We provide you with your own personal contracts manager, who will guide you through the process, keeping things moving with as little disruption as possible. How can my business get the most out of my office space?

You may have heard of a little buzzword called “workplace optimisation” and if you haven’t already, then it’s something you are about to become very familiar with. In short, it’s about delivering a brief that takes into account your needs, while maximising the available space. Our experienced in-house designers are buzzing with creative ideas and solutions. This could range from completely redesigning the internal architecture of a commercial interior to offering a clever multi-purpose space or the latest space-saving furniture. Will my office design reflect my business?

Absolutely! We work alongside your team to design and realise your vision using the latest trends and solutions for you that will not only optimise the space but also enhance productivity. It is incredibly important that we understand your business and get to know exactly how you operate, right down to the flow of your employees. When understanding a brand, we take time to immerse ourselves in your culture. From here, we suggest design features & furniture that reflect your ethos and brand, remembering it’s often the little details that count and we don’t miss a thing!

How do I get my employees on-board?

People inherently don’t like change, but it’s part of our job to work alongside your vision makers to engage your employees in the process. A collaborative approach will often help everyone feel involved and make the process more straightforward. When presenting new designs or implementing key milestones that could affect employees, communication is essential and our contracts managers are well-versed on when and how to handle this and the challenges this could bring, including any possible disruption. Generally speaking, employees that are kept in the loop are more than happy to support and get behind this exciting new change and cannot wait to show off their new space.

Can office design really make my employees happier?

We like to make Workplaces that are practical, efficient, functional and inspirational. In fact, many studies have demonstrated that both staff retention and productivity are increased with a more inspirational and functional workplace – there’s two good reasons to be happy! In addition to this, we want you to be ‘office proud’. Your office should be a reflection of your brand for employees, visitors and clients and in turn attract the right kind of business and staff.

What does it cost?

Each project is unique and depends upon the square footage, level of specification, finish and furniture, so there’s no magical formula to estimate an all-encompassing cost. However, we believe design does not have to be expensive and we work within all sorts of (realistic) budgets to come up with creative solutions for our clients. If you don’t know where to begin with this, then please give us a call and we can offer advice on some basic principals that will help you understand how to budget for a project. It’s our job to scope the work and guide you through this process.

How long will it take?

Once we’ve signed off a layout and presented a budget, we will come back to you with a project programme which details the breakdown of timescales from design development to ordering and installing furniture. As a very basic guide, the average project takes between 8-12 weeks. We cannot stress how important it is to be prepared for a forthcoming project – no matter how far away it is – so please do call us for a chat about your future plans.
